Nexus control plane · v11.0.3

Route every Minecraft instance
through one modular nexus.

Stack isolated setups like nodes in a control matrix — accounts, loaders, packs, and Java each bound to their own instance shell, not one shared .minecraft tangle.

Matrix core

An instance nexus built for power users

Prism Launcher is a GPL-3 Minecraft control plane descended from the MultiMC lineage. It orchestrates many instances and accounts through a native Qt shell — no embedded browser, no ad shell, no folder roulette.

Each node in the matrix owns its Minecraft version, loader, Java runtime, worlds, and resource packs. Jump from vanilla to Fabric, Forge, Quilt, or a kitchen-sink pack without cross-contamination.

Mod lanes

Packs and mods on dedicated rails

Add instance · Modpack
Modpack pipeline
Deploy and refresh packs from inside the launcher — archives land in the right instance node instead of manual zip surgery.
Dual-platform mod lanes
Route individual mods through Modrinth and CurseForge per instance, with in-app update checks.
Native Qt shell
A lightweight control surface: tune menus, apply themes, and keep RAM free of browser chrome.

Operator profiles

Who runs the instance matrix

Pack stackers

Run ATM, Create, and shader-heavy packs as separate nodes — each with its own Java build and RAM ceiling.

Linux channel operators

Deploy via native builds, AppImage, or Flathub org.prismlauncher.PrismLauncher when your distro prefers sandboxed packaging.

MultiMC importers

Pull legacy instance folders into the nexus, then wire CurseForge and Modrinth lanes that older workflows handled manually.

Loader testers

Spin Forge, Fabric, Quilt, and NeoForge sandboxes side by side without overwriting a single shared profile.

How Prism maps to other tools

A control-plane comparison — not a winner chart. Prism inherits MultiMC-grade isolation and adds built-in mod-platform routing.

Verification layer

Builds you can trace to source

Code and branding follow GPL-3 and CC BY-SA 4.0 respectively. Official channels ship Windows, macOS, and Linux builds — including Flatpak and AppImage nodes on Linux.

Windows SmartScreen may interrupt unsigned installers. That reputation gate is common for community-signed open-source binaries, not proof of compromise. Read the trust protocol before you deploy.

Field signals

What operators report from the control desk

Pack stacker

“Six modpack nodes live in parallel. Modrinth updates route through the launcher — no folder archaeology. Utilitarian UI beats an ad shell any day.”

Flatpak operator

“Flathub deploy just works. Fabric shaders and Forge kitchen-sink packs stay in separate instance shells — zero cross-talk.”

MultiMC importer

“Legacy instances imported clean. Dual CurseForge and Modrinth lanes were the switch trigger. First-run Java RAM warnings could be clearer though.”

Family setup

“Device-code Microsoft auth worked. Defender flagged the installer once; after allowlisting, 11.0.3 has been stable on Windows 11.”
